SUNSUN HW-402B External Canister Filter

Description

The SUNSUN HW-402B 4-Stage External Canister Filter with a built-in 9W UV sterilizer is ideal for tanks up to 280l/75 gallons. It is capable of handling up to 1000 Liters/265 gallons per hour with 3 flexible media trays that allow you to add your media such as SunSun’s activated carbons, ceramic rings, or bio-balls (each sold separately) to achieve excellent mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration. The HW-402B has a built-in 9-Watt UV sterilizer to help kill algae spores and bacteria. The UV sterilizer also promotes clear crystal water. The SUNSUN HW-402B canister filter also has a convenient self-priming pump that eliminates the need for manual siphoning.

To set your filter up, the buckles (1)and(2) should be unclipped from the main body of the filter head this will then separate the head from the base of the filter
You can then access your filter trays to clean the filter media or add filter media

Filter Media is not a part of the Standard Package.
Repeat step one to refasten the filter head to the base of the filter
Push the inlet and outlet taps into the filter head and fasten using the small handle in between the taps this is also the shut of the valve

After this attach your hose to each tap and secure using the screw caps
According to the diagram then attach the input downpipes and output spray bars
According to the diagram then press down the blue primer button on top of the filter head this will prime the filter drawing water in through the hose
Repeat this if necessary until all pipeworks are filling with water
The switch to (3)turn your UV and indicator on and off is located on the side of the filter head
Please check the UV regularly when cleaning your filter to make sure it is in full working order
At any condition, when the barrel is separated by the cover, the protection switch will be off
Then the UV will be off to avoid damage to the body

Filter Media is not a part of the Standard Package.

Canister filters are very easy to install and maintain.

You need not clean this as frequently as you clean the Top filter or internal filters.

Frequent opening and closing might damage the O ring or otherwise known as Gasket
